I am a senior geopolitical intelligence and strategic risk professional with 24 years of experience advising on Indo-Pacific security, national security policy, and high-level diplomacy at the heart of Singapore's security establishment. Throughout my career at the Ministry of Defence, I led teams producing strategic intelligence assessments that shaped national security strategies and informed decision-making at the ministerial level. My work spanned the full spectrum of geopolitical risk — from analysing great power competition and regional security dynamics to evaluating policy frameworks and translating complex intelligence into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership. A formative chapter of my career was serving as Counsellor at Singapore's Embassy in Washington DC, where I represented Singapore's national security interests across the US government — engaging with the State Department, the Pentagon, Congress, and the broader Washington policy and think tank community. That experience gave me deep insight into US-Asia strategic dynamics and a first-hand understanding of how intelligence and policy intersect at the highest levels. I hold a Master of Arts in International Relations from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University, and a Bachelor of Arts in History (First Class Honours) from the National University of Singapore, where I was awarded the Lee Kong Chian Medal for Best Thesis.
