I am a passionate dams engineer with focus in the water and hydropower sector. I am currently managing the South Queensland Dams Business Group for GHD. I have a strong broad knowledge base across all aspects of dams engineering and focussed knowledge relating to geotechnical engineering of dams and dam risk assessment and management. Much of my technical experience has been gained in consulting roles both for Entura and GHD where I have undertaken a variety of key projects for a number of clients and have worked across Australia for clients in Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania as well as international projects in the Philippines. I have project management, dam safety, risk, investigation, design and construction experience. I am actively engaged in the engineering community. I have held leadership roles for the Australian Geomechanics Society at both a local and national level as well as leadership roles Australian National Committee on Large Dams (ANCOLD) including serving on the Executive Committee as Secretary.

In my time with Entura and Hydro Tasmania I have undertaken a number of roles encompassing all aspects of the engineering cycle including asset and risk management, project identification and funding approval, site investigation, feasibility, concept and detailed design, site engineering and project and design management. I have focused primarily on the water dams sector with experience also in civil hydropower infrastructure. I have developed a sound broad knowledge of civil engineering and posses a focused ability in geotechnical engineering, particular pertaining to the dams industry. While at GHD I worked exclusively in the dams team working on a multiple projects involving: - Geotechnical site investigation of existing and proposed dams, including core and test pit logging and factual geotechnical reporting. - Embankment stability modelling. - Soil strength testing analysis and interpretation.
