My Name is Nick Dawson. I am a Gunners Mate in the United States Navy. My rate (MOS) is one of the original 3 rates in the Navy, and helps uphold Navy Core Values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment, while delivering Death and Destruction. I always knew college was not for me, despite being an award winning photographer, taking business classes through the INCubator program, being fluent in German, and being in an electrical class that taught me real world knowledge that most highschools unfortunately dont offer. So instead of taking the college route, I chose to serve my country, and that is a decision I will never regret. My rate in the Navy is simple. I shoot gun, I fix gun, and I maintain gun. On a deeper level its not just guns, its missile systems, torpedos, small arms, and of course the big guns everyone wants to shoot, where in my A School (rate knowledge school) I was designated an honor graduate by maintaining a high GPA, never getting diciplinary action taken against me, and receiving Bravo Zulus (commodations) for recieving an exceptional number of 100%'s on all tests. I was thankful my school was in my homestate of Illinois, where I made so many connections and friends, but now I am excited for the next adventure.
I am so excited to debut my official title as Gunners Mate Seaman Recruit Dawson, USN. On January 16, I have officially completed my schooling to become a GM, and have been stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii! I am now considered an expert in Firearms training and handling, along with millitary weapons & weapons systems (including missiles and torpedos)! At my job as a senior survival swim specialist, i excersise patience with students ranging from 6 months old to 65+. i use my best judgement to introduce a harder curriculum as a teacher and ensure that all my students have a safe and fun time. many patents have given me accolades towards my willingness and decicationto help their children learn how to become safe and happy swimmers regardless of their age or ability.
As a scare actor, you make surprisingly good connections. many people have complemented my acting abilities and love the character i play, which i came up with myself named Harry the Hat stealer. many people ask for my personal information to keep in touch and its a great way to meet new people and enhance the connections i already have.
My job here entitles many roles you wont find outside a kitchen! i specialize in marketing/upselling to ensure customer satisfaction and also help people whenever possible. i also bake bagles in the morning, stock everything to help coworkers and customers alike, handle money and make sure that finances look ok for my work, and im experienced in cleaning/sanitization of resteraunts to ensure a safe and clean environment for our guests. i also handle the planning and execution of many fundraisers that are Panera South Elgin specific and have received recognition for my immense sucess in the field.
