In the 20 years I have been working in GIS I have learned to adapt with the ever-changing technology, the software, hardware, and challenges that come within the industry. I started out majoring in environmental science and then emphasized in GIS when it was a new up and coming technology. At the beginning I learned so much about data, data collection, and creating user friendly maps for various employees or myself. Then Pixxures gave me the opportunity to learn how to lead a group completing projects in a timely manner and under budget. After going back to school to get a computer programming certificate I gained a lot of knowledge in how to build a clean database within in SDE, create the best data types for fields, assign domains, and join different tables. It was at United Power when I started to really put my GIS career together and expand my skills in an Enterprise environment using Oracle SDE, ArcMap, Arcfm and utility networks and effectively edit in an ESRI environment that was built on top of Schneider Electric. At united power we used tracing, network utility, SCADA, and custom tools built into ArcMap to complete our jobs and support the organization. I also helped manage a fleet of Dell Mobile Desktop computers and applications used in the field to support lineman. Keeping the electric utility design up to date was vital for the safety of the workers. My next opportunity came when I was recruited to help WAPA build out the SDE database from scratch using various shapefiles throughout the organization. This challenge was exciting and rewarding as I used my experience gained at United Power and education to advance WAPA into a more user-friendly environment in SDE with traditional versioning that allowed multi user editing. Over the years at WAPA we continued to build out the database and clean it up, add more features, more fields, more accurate data, and services to share throughout the organization. Starting in 2022 it became my goal to grow WAPA and our GIS team into the newest ArcGIS Enterprise Portal, Server Manager, and Data Store and expand into AGOL and mobile data collection using tablets in the field. The last few years have been a great opportunity for me to learn how to install and configure an enterprise multi machine deployment using a domain administrator built into active directory. While also learning from IT to configure web adaptors, certificates, ports, and software across multiple servers.
As a GIS SDE Enterprise Database Manager at Western Area Power Administration, I am responsible for the database design and maintenance, and performance tuning our enterprise GIS systems. I built multiple services that are used daily throughout the organization in different applications. Building the database included coming up with data structures, feature classes, attributes, domains, and user roles, rights, and privileges. I also managed multiple environments at once within TEST, DEV, and STAGING. I have years of experience with traditional versioning, performance tuning, batch reconcile and post, rebuilding indexes, as well as steps used in database compression. Currently, I am leading the transition to Branch Versioning in our ArcGIS Enterprise 11.1 environment. Python scripts were also created to automate some database compression processes. I worked with IT and played a key role in integrating ArcGIS Enterprise 11.1 with Portal, Data Store, and Server Manager in a multi-machine environment. I designed our ArcGIS Enterprise 11.1 Portal environment, managed users and roles, content, items, groups, and categories, as well as setup content sharing between Portal and ArcGIS Online (AGOL) through collaboration. Additionally, I have helped setup and test mobile data collection workflows. My software experience is with ArcMap 10.8.1, ArcGIS Pro 3.x, and ArcGIS Enterprise 11.1. Throughout my career at WAPA, I have been committed to advancing GIS within the organization, implementing new solutions, and driving new ideas and goals for the team. I also manage ArcGIS services across multiple environments, creating web maps and applications to support enterprise-wide geospatial initiatives.

Using ArcFM versioning and session manager reconcile-post, stored displays, page templates, designer, enterprise geodatabase feature dataset and feature classes, editing tools and attribute editor. Create budgets, costs, and estimates for projects. Train and monitor less experienced Image Analysts. Communicate with and update the project clients.
