About

Thanks for visiting my profile - here's my professional story to date but you can learn more at my website http://www.equinetherapiesireland.ie/ I have successfully transitioned from a career in Financial Services to one in Equine Bodywork / Physical Therapies. I began working towards this transition late 2012. Despite certifying as an Equine Physical Therapist in the summer of 2014, I continue my studies and will do so as I feel appropriate going forward. During this period I engaged in work experience in the US and travelled extensively to the UK and Europe. During these last few years I have significantly developed my sensitivities, through extensive personal development, in order to be the best that I can be to facilitate healing for animals & humans that come into my life. Additionally I practice daily and consistent self care, comprised of Tai Chi Chuan, meditation, regular holistic treatment sessions, (with Chris McMahon and Stuart Breen), among other things. Previous experience centres chiefly in finance where I gained 12 years' experience in Credit Control the insurance, telecommunications and pharmaceutical distribution sectors. I am, in everything I do, a highly self-motivated and flexible individual. I consider myself to be extremely analytical, organised and thorough. Due to my extensive Corporate experience I have developed excellent communication skills, I easily take the initiative and love to problem solve. I am confident, determined and quick to act and believe these skills will only help to solidify the success of my own business endeavour.

Upon my return to Ireland in 2005 I quickly gained a role in AIG as the sole Credit Controller for AIG Excess Ltd global, excluding only the US, which was handled in Bermuda. I worked closely with Marian Fenton who at the time was my Finance Director. I spent over 8 years with AIG and I enjoyed a fantastic progressive and learning environment. During my time here I was fortunate to travel to Bermuda and extensively to the UK. I was 25 when I started with AIG and 33 when I left. I was privileged to work with two inspiring mentors in Marian Fenton and Maunika Caines.
