Bridge Design: Design Reviews of Reinforced concrete box culverts, link slabs and base slabs to MRS 11.24 (12/07) - Review technical and structural, pre-construction and construction design from suppliers using appropriate standards, systems, procedures and guidelines. Material testing and product evaluation (pile splice load test, fibre composite beams, adhesive products) Site visits and knowledge of casting yard construction of various reinforced and prestressed concrete elements including deck units, girders, culverts and piles
Monitor high-risk construction activities on site to ensure the Contractor and Independent Verifier are meeting their contractual and technical obligations. General on-site experience of various construction activities (earthworks, bridge, retaining walls, noise barriers, environmental controls, sedimentation ponds, cement stabilised pavements, asphalt, bituminous seals, concrete traffic barriers, sign post and sign gantry erecting): undertaking inspections and quality control. Understanding processes, plant and equipment needed to undertake major construction activities (earthworks, drainage, and pavement construction) Understanding and learn the Technical Standards and Specifications, Inspections and Test Plans Record keeping of all monitoring records, quality test results, inspections and daily site diary.
