Manufacturing Engineer II in Boston Scientific’s Cardiac Rhythm Management and Neuromodulation PCBA department for the first 7 months of this role. I was then selected by the strategic leadership team to work as part of a small team to transfer two new divisions and four products to Boston Scientific Clonmel. Cardiac Rhythm Management and Neuromodulation PCBA: • Conduct tests and measurements throughout stages of production to determine control over process key input variables. • Lead a team to implementing projects to achieve business goals. • Analyzed and solved problems using engineering principles, theories and concepts through to a wide range of complex and advanced problems. • Initiated and completed technical activities leading to improved processes for existing products to meet strategic goals and objectives of the company. These activities comprised of executing tests, preparing reports, publishing reports, and makes presentations to communicate the findings. • Aid in developing the knowledge of new team members in specialized fields to improve business growth and reduce equipment downtime. Urology and Endoscopy Scopes Transfer: • Procurement of full manufacturing lines after collaborating with different vendors and evaluating the timeline and cost for delivery. • Interacted cross functionally with internal divisions and departments to ensure smooth execution of line setup and validation. • POC for BSCI with external vendors acting as a PM for equipment and system delivery. • Validating equipment. During this internship I worked in the electronic assembly process of Boston Scientific’s cardiac rhythm management division. • Collation of equipment process monitor data and monitoring trends within that data • Analyse and generated daily yield reports. • Gathered and input OEE figures daily. • Safety advocate for engineering. • Created automated resource usage tracker. • Created macro enabled excel trackers across all products. • Carried out tool qualifications of new incoming equipment from vendors with specialised equipment • Organised and held meetings with vendors to deal with faults with the incoming equipment • Reviewed technical documents in preparation for FDA and MDSAP audits. • Highly involved in equipment management in the aid of increasing equipment owner’s efficiency. • Retro fitted EA fixtures and updated tool qualifications documents to latest revs. • Assisted in the implantation of a new manufacturing process. • Involved in the change of internal Boston Scientific identification numbers • Requested and carried special work request’s through the manufacturing processes.
