Responsible for growth programs go-to-market strategy and managing growth and connectivity partnerships with 13 telcos in 5 countries (Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar (till Mar 2020)/ Malaysia (since Apr 2020), Laos, Cambodia) Own C-level and C-1 relationships and maintain a high level of engagement with partners. Negotiate commercial agreements with partners. Lead cross-functional efforts across products, engineering, policy, comms, marketing to integrate Facebook's growth initiatives with operators. Manage end-to-end projects on operator solutions, monetization, digital distribution and mobile identity. Advise internal teams on industry developments in the market, changes in users' behaviors and trends to improve product features and find new product ideas.
Serve as mobile operators and OEMs' trusted partner on analytics. Work across the organization from senior executives to working team to onboard, adopt best practices and innovate with Facebook's dedicated analytics product for our strategic mobile partners. Internal consultant for product teams, advise them on partners' needs and requirements, contribute ideas to product roadmapping and feature planning.
- Lead a global team of 7 across 4 offices and project manage Canalys’ worldwide smartphone market intelligence data, analysis and forecasting services. Provide regular support to other services such as smart speakers, PCs and wearables. - Co-lead Canalys smartphone go-to-market service and provide data-driven insights to support clients’ strategic decision-making on areas such as product development, go-to-market, marketing, sales planning and channel management through regular presentations and ad hoc advisory projects. - Actively support sales team to win opportunities by showcasing Canalys’ research and consulting capabilities, translating clients’ needs into project requirements, engaging in end-to-end project management tasks such as planning, resource management, project costing, proposals and project execution. - Monitor trends in the mobile industry and the adjacent digital economy to support clients in strategy planning and go-to-market management. - Build relationships with technology vendors and local distributors, retailers and resellers in Asia Pacific for research resources. - Lead Canalys' market leading mid-range and premium SKU-level smartphone forecast service, currently serving a number of leading global smartphone components suppliers. - Leading the research on 3 top-10 global smartphone vendors. - Created the Canalys Device Value Index to study value-for-money aspect of smartphones, currently collaborating with in-house developers to bring the tool to a digital platform for Canalys clients. - Go-to analyst for insights into Southeast Asia, Japan, Korea,Russia and Africa. - Frequently share market insights on top-tier business news outlets such as Forbes, Financial Times, CNN Money and appeared on BBC, CNBC and Channel NewsAsia business television segments.
- Built knowledge base and became go-to analyst for insights into Southeast Asia, Russia and Africa technology landscape. - Initiated and led a project which helped improve accuracy of smartphone shipment tracking for top 25 global markets and achieved SKU-level accuracy for more than 50 global brands using SQL and Excel models.
