-Worked at Benson-Henry Institute of Mind Body Medicine with Dr. Michelle Dossett researching the effects of mindfulness practices with physician burnout, paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, and patient-physician interaction through a GERD model. -Trained in LabChart and RedCap.
-Taught for the Systems Physiology and Human Physiology courses both in lecture and in lab. -Worked closely with the Lab Coordinator as Head LA Coordinator to ensure students attended the correct lab sections and that the staff of LAs performed their jobs appropriately and efficiently. -Awarded “Outstanding LA” by the Department of Biology at BU and the LA Program Spring 2018 for designing and implementing a modification to the lab course to boost participation through engaging students that would not usually participate.
-Conducted research under Dr. Katherine Gergen-Barnett in the Culture of Health Accelerator (CoHA) project. The project aimed to reduce health inequities in urban communities through a YPAR approach. -Presented a social determinants of health and healthcare seminar to CoHA youth researchers, and taught another YPAR group under the Boston Foundation and Mass. Housing about youth employment barriers. -Trained in NVivo, Qualtrics, ArcGIS research tools.
