Founder of GoodHood.SG, a not for profit tech-enabled community movement to bring back the kampung spirit in Singapore. By leveraging technology, we've grown to over 120,000 neighbours, enabling everyday acts of kindness and collaboration in a simple, safe and trustworthy community. Run in a non-profit manner, our values are that communities should be served, and not sold. With a focus on community building, tech innovation, and social impact, the mission is to cultivate kinder, more connected neighbourhoods. Run as a non-profit, GoodHood.SG is a community movement to bring back the kampung spirit in Singapore by making everyday acts of kindness easy, safe and trustworthy, leveraging tech to scale impact, with my role as the lead volunteer, serving pro-bono since founding. Key points: - 120K+ neighbours - represented social sector to field fully volunteer contingents to march in NDP 2024 & 2025 (SG60); this was a real milestone for our community, inspiring our volunteers and others towards creating more caring communities in SG. --- Neighbourhoods are one of the most overlooked but important communities in our lives. We hope to connect residents in Singapore with other verified neighbours on a daily basis to meet their various needs (social, functional, financial & more)! Bringing back the kampung spirit through community building, enabled by a neighbourhood app that's supported and recognized by multiple social and government agencies as a helpful tool for building kinder and greener communities. We're happy to have played a key part in connecting neighbours in need, with neighbours who care during covid, and now moving into post-covid, we hope to foster kinder and greener neighbourhoods in Singapore! ❤️♻️
Formerly a church, the church has kindly committed the space, a 3.5-storey building (~7,000 sqft) at 360 Dunearn Road) for Christians to gather and inspire each other towards loving God more, and living lives with fullness of joy and total surrender.
