I’m a Bachelor of Science student majoring in Immunology at the University of Melbourne, where I was awarded the Melbourne International Undergraduate Scholarship. During my gap year, I created Fayefilms, a YouTube channel that has grown to over 1.5M subscribers and 140M views. What started as sharing simple study tips has turned into a global community, where I create content that supports both academic and personal growth. Alongside YouTube, I’ve gained research experience at two of Australia’s leading medical research institutes. At the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research (WEHI), I worked on projects investigating age-associated thymic epithelial cells, with a focus on understanding thymic involution and its role in ageing. At the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health, I was part of the Neuropeptide Receptor Group, where I applied advanced tissue culture techniques as part of early-stage drug development research. Beyond the lab and content creation, I founded Fayefilms Academy, a free student community focused on academics, mental health, and productivity. I’ve also illustrated and distributed more than 200,000 free study notes and templates to students worldwide, as well as launched a mentor–mentee program to connect students across different stages of their academic journeys. When I’m not studying or filming, I love to paint. My mural “Racial Reconciliation” won the People to People International Global Youth Mural Competition in 2017.
