About

Hi, I’m Ying Hui. I'm deeply interested in the intersection between society and politics — from social inequality, meritocracy, and deviance, to the influence of religion on global affairs. I enjoy thinking critically about how everyday social issues are shaped by broader structures of power. Professionally, I hope to contribute to policy research that supports disadvantaged communities, such as lower-income families and ex-offenders. Happy to connect and learn from others in the field!
