About

Growing up, I have always been fascinated by everyday science. As an adventurous and self-motivated individual, I specifically anticipated entering the chemistry R&D industry. My first milestone wandering in this world of chemistry was to enrol in National University of Singapore, with a bachelor degree in Chemistry, minor in Life Science I have acquired a wide range of skillset over my course of study: • Performing wet-lab experiments - Reaction set up, monitoring, work-up and purification techniques • Housekeeping skills - Proper waste disposal and lab maintenance • Analytical and spectroscopic techniques - HPLC, GCMS, FTIR, NMR, AAS • Efficient time-management skills - To achieve a decent work-life balance, proper time management skills are crucial. • Open to criticism - Group projects act as a platform for developing open-mindedness and acceptance of criticism. With a motto of "Lifelong Learning", I am ready to step out of my comfort zone and expand my knowledge in chemistry.

Experience

  • Research Intern at ACM Biolabs
    Sep 2022 - Feb 2023 · 6 mos

As an intern in ACM BIolabs, I was involved in optimising block copolymer nanoparticles (BNP) to encapsulate mRNA. Skills acquired in the internship: • High-throughput screening of BNP formulations using multichannel pipettes. • Assisted in BNP optimizations • Performed quality assurance on nanoparticle formulations • Gained hands-on expertise in techniques including agarose gel electrophoresis, RiboGreen RNA quantification. • Assessed nanoparticle size distribution via Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) and surface charge using zeta potential analysis.

  • Sales Assistant at Robinson Group
    Aug 2019 - Sep 2019 · 2 mos

As a sales assistant, my responsibilities included: • Customer service - Providing a helping hand to customers when they have queries. • Basic housekeeping - Housekeeping chores were performed to maintain workspace hygiene. • Promoting sales - Memorising all ongoing sales and promoting the items accordingly. Due to these duties, I learned to: • Be more confident - Working in a retail shop boosted my confidence to speak to customers. • Take initiative - I took the initiative to approach customers who seemed hesitant about their clothing choices.
