Freescale acquisition of Mindspeed CPE division
• Managed a team of 6 individuals (including myself) to support all CPE devices World Wide (C100, C100iTemp, C1000, C1000S, C1000iTemp, C2000) • Responsible for many Tier 1 Customers (NTT, Mitsubishi, OKI, Hitachi, NEC, SBB, Foxconn, T&W, Tecom, Sercomm, AT&T, Cisco, Western Digital, Synology, Technicolor, ADB, Zyxel, D-Link, Google, Ooma, QNAP, Yamaha, LGE, Dreytek) • Pre-Sale/Post-Sales support activities • Created intriguing demos for Trade Shows and Pre-Sales support • Helped customers: Device/SDK training, board bring-up, SW/Linux/Driver integration, post-production system support, RMA bench validation and debug • Devices were used in several applications: VoIP capable BHR, C-NAS, EAP, Security Routers, IP-PBX, VoIP adaptors, DECT base-stations, LTE Routers, WiMax Routers, Home Security Control Boxes • Trained Field Engineers and Disty Partners • Create and review customer documentation • Managed the CPE System HW team • Maintained close ties with Marketing, Sales and Engineering • Built relationships with 3rd party Partners
• Managed a remote SW team of 4 to support the C800 product line • C800 was a very successful Enterprise VoIP IP-PBX device supporting 4-32 Channels of voice with data routing capability
• Lead a group of SW Engineers on multiple projects (from 4-8 engineers) • Created and ran the Jebbin project – CSMV12 AnyPort (Modem/VoIP/Fax/T.38) router for Cisco • Created and ran the Dragon project – we packaged a standalone DSP and created the voice/routing stack on a PowerQuicc II running VxWorks • Led the system SW team which directly supported the CSMV6 program that was driving a majority of the company’s revenue • Support legacy products
