Oversee the development and implementation of high value long term technical projects within AIC (AT&T Integrated Cloud) that require certification and FFA (First Field Application) work. Manage the complete life cycle of moderately-to-highly complex projects from original concept through final implementation. Spearhead cross functional teams, review project deliverables, and ensure adherence to quality standards. Directly responsible for preparing detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports as well as project tracking and analysis via PMATT. Serve as a subject matter expert within own MME/SGSN/MSC/VM platform disciplines and provide technical and analytical guidance to project team. A paramount contributor on diverse projects, new procedures and processes to drive desired results. Participate on several National and Regional special projects (i.e. SIP-I, VOLTE, and LTE launches) and host a National call to provide support and share lessons learned with colleagues.
Provided hands-on oversight to PSTN network for 15 existing switches in the Central Region (South Texas Market) to ensure trunk and utilization requirements are achieved. Contributed with the trunking and constructing of 8 new switches (Ericsson and Nortel). Completed SS7 requirements, translations, billing and the generation of the Xng paths, segments and equipment. Handled port recovery within switches and coordinated process flow to ensure timely turn up of the switches. Served as first point of escalation for issues with Xng for all employees within the Austin, San Antonio & Harlingen area. Charged with ordering, project management, and escalation of interconnect elements (PSTN/IMT) as well as trunk facility installation for all new MSC’s in the Central Region. Consistently updated interconnect and forecasting tool (NetOps), processed NPA/NXX order documents, and organized code re-homes to new MSC’s turned up within the region. Closely monitored call traffic on a weekly basis for 15 switches, including development and providing recommendations to ensure each route did not exceed traffic threshold set.
Administered ordering to SBC, Verizon, various ILEC’s, tracking, and coordinated acceptance testing of network transport facilities including DS0, DS1, and DS3’s for switched and special access circuits. Conducted switched traffic analysis and manual calculation of Erlangs. Assisted with network design, sales, provisioning coordinators, network maintenance technicians and field operators in design, testing and trouble resolution. Consistently updated management on the 300 T1 orders utilizing multiple tracking spreadsheets. Utilized Granite/Xpercom database to maintain records of paths and segments. Issued work orders to turn up switched and special circuits. Ensured new T1’s to existing cell sites were flawlessly processed and other various data entry projects for reporting.
