I graduated in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in International Studies with a functional track in Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of San Francisco. I also minored in Middle Eastern Studies and Entrepreneurship & Innovation, and I am fluent in Arabic. Independently consulted on 4 MONTH CONTRACT for Meta's AMET Human Rights Public Policy team to deliver two priority initiatives in the MENA region.
• Supported the work of the public policy team, including attending key cross-team meetings, developing and sending important updates to global Public Policy colleagues. • Represented Public Policy in the market with key external partners in government and civil society as well as with internal colleagues from other teams, including Safety Policy, Legal Policy, Policy Comms, and Partnerships, with respect to public policy issues in market. • Provided market insights and trends to optimize conversations and set priorities with CSOs, NGOs, and government partners. • Built and maintained relationships with third-party organisations in the areas of safety, counter-terrorism, and disinformation, among other areas. • Developed content and conducted Twitter trainings for civil society entities regarding Twitter Safety Rules and Tools, NGO strategies, Media Literacy, Digital Citizenship, and CVE counter-narratives. • Developed and conveyed timely updates to the global Public Policy team on top global agenda items. • Provided front-line support on issues requiring engagement, solving problems and escalating to internal teams as needed.
