I am an operations, projects, and engineering leader with over 20 years’ experience across RF technology, aerospace, defence, and composite products in high‑mix, low‑volume manufacturing and technical development environments. I have gained experience working across South African, European, Asian, and US teams inside multi-lingual and multi-cultural teams. Focused on creating a structured, sustainable workplace by removing operational barriers I create an environment for teams to perform at their best. I have led team restructuring for clearer roles and better efficiency, and facilitated building a culture of stronger engagement, accountability, and day‑to‑day ownership. Recognised for combining a people‑centric leadership style with a result‑driven approach, I am capable of making decisive, and at times difficult, decisions to deliver strategic and operational outcomes.
In my current role I lead a multidisciplinary engineering organisation (RF, mechanical, and product management) and oversee project delivery from concept through to outsourced production. This includes ensuring industrialisation readiness, cost alignment, manufacturability, and on‑time release when working with contract manufacturers. I am responsible for the engineering department budget, including resource and cost planning, and I recently led a restructuring of the engineering team to improve operational efficiency. I also take part in strategic planning discussions with local leadership, providing input into product roadmaps, capacity needs, and operational considerations.
At Husqvarna I managed multi‑million‑SEK battery development projects in a large multinational matrix, coordinating technical work across several divisions. The role involved keeping delivery structures steady, managing interfaces, and ensuring clear communication across teams and suppliers. I also participated in strategic planning workshops within the Battery Competence Centre, contributing to capability, roadmap planning, and longer‑term development needs.
Led a multi-year, multi-hundred MSEK programme with over 100 team members across nine workstreams. Managed technical integration, schedule governance, and customer engagement across multiple international locations. Navigated cultural and linguistic differences, mitigated risks, and secured programme delivery under demanding technical constraints.
At Alaris Antennas I managed multiple development projects and later led the engineering team, balancing technical complexity, resource constraints, and day‑to‑day operational demands. As Engineering Manager, I was responsible for the engineering budget and for leading a team of ten engineers, focusing on workload planning, capability development, and practical operational improvements. My work covered both low‑value and multi‑million ZAR projects, with close coordination across functions to manage risks, align expectations, and support the transition from development into production
Managed daily operational delivery for an international Tier 1 aerospace customer, resolving production constraints, technical issues, and workflow bottlenecks. Coordinated cross-functional teams to meet output targets under tight margins. Acted as a bridge between management and the workforce, translating strategic priorities into practical, achievable objectives.
