Seasoned DEI Lead Teacher with over 14 years of diverse experience in the education sector, including teaching roles in South Korea, Qatar, and Ontario. Driven by a passion for creating inclusive, equitable, and empowering learning environments, I excel at designing and implementing impactful diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. Committed to fostering a strong sense of belonging within my school communities, I work tirelessly to ensure high student achievement and positive learning outcomes. Using the varied learning experiences from a Master's degree in Education, I am a strong proponent of inquiry-based learning, using it to spark curiosity and drive critical thinking among my students, while also understanding the need for explict instruction in foundational subjects. By cultivating a culture of respect, open-mindedness, and collaborative problem-solving, I empower learners to reach their full potential. As a dedicated DEI advocate and member of the Ontario College of Teachers, I am continually seeking new ways to enhance educational equity and create transformative learning experiences for students of all backgrounds. With a proven track record of success, I am driven to make a lasting difference in the lives of the children and families I serve. Looking ahead, I am keenly interested in pursuing leadership opportunities within the elementary and primary school context, where I can leverage my expertise to drive systemic change and advocate for inclusive education practices.
