I am a logistics professional with over 30 years’ experience in international transport working in the Project Logistics, Contract Logistics and Freight Forwarding environment. With over 20 years’ experience in General Management, I manage work teams effectively, am a strong administrator and am highly organised with a strong customer focus. In my current role I manage the Health, Safety, Environment, Quality, and Quarantine Compliance for Major Projects which has included the Gorgon and Ichthys Projects for DB Schenker and have won several awards personally and for DB Schenker. Extensive overseas travel has added to my experience in managing compliance for complex operational work scopes in a global environment using a culturally sensitive approach. I have shown a capability to be highly effective in the complex Project Logistics environment, operating to multiple complex Owner specifications and enjoy being challenged in a logistics environment to achieve the highest standards possible.
Full responsibility to manage Compliance to the stringent HSE, Quality and Quarantine requirements on Major Projects. This includes managing compliance for all marine and land based activities overseas and in Australia including the preparation of Management Plans, procedures and work instructions for the multiple work sites engaged on the Gorgon Project. Achieved and maintained Chevron’s CHESM ‘A’ ranking for DB Schenker for HSE compliance and a number of Quarantine awards also received. Also manage Compliance and Contract Management on the Inpex, Ichthys Project, preparing management plans and ensuring services delivered in a contractually compliant manner. Assist in the tendering of new business for global Project logistics work, working with Australian and global offices.
Managed all aspects for the ISO 9001 Quality accreditation for DB Schenker across around 25 sites in Australia and New Zealand. Developed KPI’s for the sites to drive performance after a major acquisition by the Company. Conducted Internal Audits across the sites and developed a uniform Quality Plan that was applied to all Freight Forwarding and Contract Logistics sites across the business.
Full P&L responsibility for the WA freight Forwarding and Contract Logistics business in WA. The business grew to 45 staff before Bax Global was globally acquired by DB Schenker. Bax Global in WA had a strong customer focus concentrated in the air freight and contract logistics market with many long-term customers. Responsible for all aspects of running the business in WA including Accounts, Sales, Customer Service and Operations.
