Leading the Data and Technology function for the Woodgreen Charity.
Currently engaged in a fixed term contract role to manage all aspects of the IT function during the final stages of a major move of CRM from Raisers Edge to MS Dynamics. The priority has been to maintain stability and support the delivery of migration from RE to MS Dynamics.
Leading the team through a major restructure, whilst supporting over 2000 colleagues in over 100 retail outlets, 47 pet hospitals, call centre and head office sites across the UK.
Currently engaged in a fixed term contract role to manage all aspects of the IT function during a difficult period of disruption following organisation wide redundancies and restructuring. The priority has been to create stability, maintaining essential technical support for the organisation, whilst quickly establishing and embedding a new operating model.
This was a 12-month fixed term contract. My immediate task was to address concerns raised in a recent audit report that identified apparent gaps in the current ways of working, the IT team structure and a lack of a coherent planning to deliver change. Working with the IT teams, suppliers and senior stakeholders, I established a clear set of actions that would address the immediate problems, and defined an operating model that would enable the team to address the longer term needs of the organisation. Combining team changes, recruitment, realignment of roles, and a focus was placed on delivering essential systems changes, and stabilising the IT support services. I created a two-year roadmap to deliver the long terms objectives of the foundation which was signed off by the executive team. my contract concluded after 13 months. Accountabilities: • Working with the executive team as owner of all IT activity for the charity • Leadership of a team of 15 IT specialists supporting 270 users • To pull together a revised IT operating model and defined strategy to support a desired digital transformation. Achievements: • Created a 2-year strategy with a new operating model alongside the delivery of immediate priorities including: o Successful delivery of a new cloud based front-end site for grant applications. o The finance systems upgrade to the latest version o Recruited a dedicated IT Security Manager and 3 further support roles. o Successfully delivery of all changes to support a rebrand • Completed an IT budget review identifying capital and revenue investment needs • Completed all agreed priorities for my contract period – handing over to a contracted CTO
Accountabilities: Responsibility for the UK technology architecture. Definition and delivery of systems roadmaps to support digital transformation activity.
