Managing complex, high volume supply chain operations for marine lubricants within a highly dynamic, multinational fleet environment, ensuring seamless coordination across diverse geographic regions and regulatory frameworks.
Purchasing specific quality devices, maintenance spare parts, measuring tools, and process chemicals, obtaining best value considering price, delivery, quality, service, and total cost of acquisition. Managing supplier performance and relationships, negotiating contracts, organizing supplier development visits, and sourcing new suppliers to expand the supply base. Participating in company projects and development initiatives, identifying cost reduction opportunities, and improving yield and productivity. Performing all purchasing activities in compliance with the Management Information System and internal policies. Providing technical and commercial advantage by researching cost-effective equivalent products and low-cost sourcing alternatives. Participating quality audits for QMS ISO 9001:2015 and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure process compliance and prevent non-conformities.
Owning process optimization initiatives to improve manufacturing performance, measurement capability, tooling, prototyping, workflow, ergonomics, and process controls. Reviewing customer complaints, NCRs, and field returns, developing corrective actions and solutions using 8D, 5WHY, Root Cause Analysis, Kaizen, and PDCA methodologies. Ensuring compliance with customer-specific requirements, quality management systems (IATF 16949, ISO 17025, ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 45001), and audit processes, leading closure of corrective actions. Applying project management methodologies to deliver scrap reduction targets, equipment installations, NPI (new product introduction), and design/specification changes. Collaborating with R&D, Sales, Manufacturing, and Procurement teams on cross-functional projects, driving continuous improvement and aligning with customer expectations. Executing quality control activities, tracking and analyzing QA data, conducting internal and external audits, and supervising Lloyd inspections (BV, DNV-GL, TUV) of exported materials. Managing qualification, calibration, and maintenance of equipment and measuring instruments, ensuring compliance with calibration standards. Conducting risk assessments and preparing user manuals and work instructions for operators. Overseeing occupational safety and health procedures (HSE), laboratory layout, and implementation of 5S on the shop floor. Coordinating a team of ~20 QA technicians, providing training on quality procedures. Generating and maintaining regular Quality and NCR reports for management review.
Implementing a UK-based software application’s operations in Turkey and ensuring smooth local execution. Facilitating agreements with potential customers and supporting sales objectives. Updating and maintaining the product catalog, including translation and localization for the Turkish market.
