*Develop and implement public policy agenda according to the company’s strategic priorities *Initiate and lead economic analysis of the industry and the competitors in order to develop a quantitate policy position *Following the trends in the ICT industry and prepare company position accordingly *Develop political engagement plans in accordance to the policy narrative with holistic stakeholder mapping *Follow and evaluate competitor activities, strategies and goals *Represent the company in engagements with the government bodies *Coordinate the relationship with industrial NGOs including M-TOD, TELKODER, YASED, TUSIAD etc *Research future policy and strategy issues for ICT Industries and new business areas *Enhance adopted approaches by following and identifying with commercial, technological and regulatory developments & trends in EU telecoms landscape *Providing input and guidance to internal business units regarding critical public policy queries *Develop and deliver messaging, speech materials, presentation materials that are used in internal and external engagement and communication
*Under the direct supervision of the Economic Affairs Officer, and overall supervision of the Managing Director, drafting policy notes, reports, and Technology Needs Assessments (TNAs) for the 44 least developed countries (LDCs), with a focus on science, technology, and innovation. *Conducting research and compiling data on economic, social, environmental, and STI-related issues, including their gender dimensions. *Preparing internal briefings, reports, and data presentations to support knowledge management, strategic planning, and decision-making. *Assisting in programme and project planning, coordination, and preparation processes, including reviewing proposals and monitoring implementation progress. *Monitoring trends and developments in STI and providing relevant inputs to senior officials and UN colleagues. *Maintaining internal databases and generating periodic/ad hoc statistical and narrative reports.
*Leading the integration of inclusive economic development considerations in UNDP programming and implementation in the 11 earthquake-affected provinces as well as in relevant regional policies and strategy documents. *Leading on needs identification and research activities, facilitating trainings, guiding technical experts and UNDP personnel on inclusive development approaches to address and integrate the needs of vulnerable populations. *Contributing towards developing strategic partnerships facilitation of the relations and dialogue with Municipalities and other partners at local level (Ministry of Industry and Technology, Development Agencies, Chambers of Commerce and Industry etc) by supporting coordination of recovery activities with other national entities, UN agencies and national/international partners. Collaborating with municipalities and development agencies to ensure inclusion in regional development strategies and ensuring that recovery and resilience strategies incorporate tailored interventions for SMEs and women-led businesses. *Under the guidance of the Regional Coordinator, liaising with UN agencies, international donors (ECHO, World Bank, EBRD, JICA, FCDO, SIDA, GIZ etc), local and international NGOs and national, local authorities; contributing towards CO efforts in expanding partnerships and resources mobilization.
*Supervising the team to support early recovery and livelihoods initiatives, ensuring the implementation of project activities and fulfillment of contractual obligations. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and mobilizing implementing partners (IPs) for vocational training, income-generation activities, and small business support. This also includes coordinating the distribution of essential livelihood assets, cash-for-work schemes, and recovery assistance, while conducting regular field visits to monitor project progress and outcomes in the target areas in Northwest Syria. * Supporting the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of cash-based interventions (CBI) and livelihoods projects, coordinating daily with IPs to facilitate efficient execution. Expanding the scope of CBI to cover livelihood needs in early recovery contexts, particularly by supporting vocational training, small business development, and other income-generating activities. Additionally, engaging in decision-making with local and national partners, contributing relevant inputs to donor reports, and ensuring coordination with relevant humanitarian and livelihoods clusters to enhance the effectiveness of early recovery interventions across the region.
*Assigned for TDYs in the refugee camps of Greece, Amman, and Beirut for conducting shelter-related monitoring and evaluation activities with the support of authorities by undertaking advocacy for improvements in their migration & asylum legislation and to improve the partnerships between agencies and governments to address refugees’ and host community’s concerns.
*Coordinating and performing monitoring activities within Istanbul Area Office and providing reports to support the effective delivery of assistance packages; collecting and summarizing the programme data of ESSN, collaborating with cooperating partners where required, conducting analysis and preparing reports in order to support programme reviews and informative decision-making; providing support on areas that require specific programmatic advocacy activities to improve the implementation of the ESSN programme by having regular meetings with stakeholders and local authorities.
*Assigned for conducting M&E activities in Moria Refugee Camp in Lesbos, Greece for three months.
