Hi there! I’m Navya, a skilled and enthusiastic recent graduate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with a specialization in Renewable Energy about to embark on my career in the industry. Whilst completing my studies, I’ve gained global experience in Canada and Australia across diverse environments, where I have developed my skills in designing, analyzing and assessing complex electrical systems. With my collaborative approach, I enjoy as part of a team to handle complex projects and deliver positive business outcomes. Continuous improvement is part of everything I do, and I am always looking for opportunities to enhance work practices. I pride myself on my relationship management skills and have established strong professional networks that can be leveraged to drive positive business outcomes. My communication style is clear and engaging, and I can convey critical information to others in an accessible manner. My analytical thinking skills are sound, and I efficiently draw out evidence-based insights to inform strategic decision-making. I thrive in dynamic environments and handle competing priorities with ease. A keen problem solver, I create innovative solutions to complex matters, even when faced with time and resourcing pressures. Some of my career highlights include: •Developed an enhanced Excel spreadsheet at SAGE Automation that accommodated variable battery capacity values, allowing for the seamless calculation of different charging times across multiple battery types. •Enhanced existing battery charging calculation spreadsheets at SAGE Automation, enabling them to consider parameters including ambient temperature, battery weight and maximum allowable charging to improve calculation quality and outputs. •Held a critical role in a major SA Water project at SAGE Automation and ensured 100% compliance with SA Water’s TS300 project standard. I am currently in the process of applying for graduate roles, so if you’d like to get to know me and my work – feel free to get in touch!
In my casual role at SAGE, I updated electrical schematics and single-line diagrams in AutoCAD based on project team feedback, ensuring that all design changes and As-Built conditions were accurately captured. I developed and managed Excel-based tools to analyse large datasets and support informed decision-making. Additionally, I maintained detailed feedback records and documented technical guidance from project teams to support ongoing project improvements.
Researched, developed and implemented a comprehensive work breakdown to support the delivery of a major battery charging calculation project. Established six specific project milestones including project kick-off, testing and validation, and handover – all within a strict five-week delivery timeframe. Prepare and present calculations and research findings to senior business leaders, providing them with strategic insights to support their decision-making. Managed the programming of a conveyor belt using the Rockwell Automation Logix Designer 5000 IDE ladder logic. Ensured complete compliance with relevant engineering standards including TS300, AS/NZS 61000.3.2., and AS/NZS 61000.3.4. and AS/NZS 61000.3.12.
Led the execution of 500 cable routing tasks across five vessel sections using Navisworks 3D CAD modelling software. Navigated multiple decks and ship sections to route up to 35 x 1500m cables each day across high-traffic areas including the engine room. Identified and addressed emerging capacity and design constraints and worked with the Design Manager to address these issues. Maintained compliance with strict regulatory controls and industry frameworks.
