As a highly experienced researcher in chemistry, materials science and engineering, I possess a deep understanding of both fundamental theories and their translation into real-world applications for advanced materials. Over the course of my career, I have addressed a broad spectrum of interdisciplinary research areas. These include the development of smart materials such as self-healable polymers and composites for flexible and transparent electronic devices, dielectric elastomers tailored for haptic interfaces and soft robotics, and nanomaterials engineered for biomedical applications. I am also actively involved in creating biodegradable polymers aimed at mitigating environmental challenges. Through these endeavors, I have contributed to the advancement of next-generation materials and technologies with applications across electronics, healthcare, and sustainability. Currently, I am serving as a SUSBIO Postdoctoral Fellow with in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Technology at the Tampere University, Finland. Previously, I was a Marie-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain. My work here involves the development of Self-healing materials for soft robots. I also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Pennsylvania State University, USA and the National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan includes working on projects such as magnetic material-based soft robots for biomedical applications and non-invasive wearable biosensors for real-time monitoring applications. I also worked on a wearable and flexible chemical sensor (TENS) combined with a robotic hand to identify hazardous chemical analytes. Over the years, I have successfully secured funding for various research projects through proposal writing and other means, and have presented my findings at international conferences as a Keynote and Invited speakers across the globe. My research track record demonstrates not only my ability to deliver high-quality research outcomes but also my capacity to manage other responsibilities, such as student supervision, laboratory management, and planning of visits. With a deep passion for the discipline of Polymer Science and Engineering, I am eager to continue exploring new frontiers in the field and making meaningful contributions to the advancement of soft materials and their applications.
