As an Industrial Engineer at General Dynamics Electric Boat, I apply Lean Six Sigma Black Belt training to drive process improvements and enhance manufacturing efficiency. After completing a co-op internship, I transitioned to a full-time role, focusing on optimizing workflows and reducing waste. I’m excited to contribute to innovation and operational excellence in submarine production
Developed a VBA automation tool for L3Harris. This was a project done for my 2024 Senior Capstone with Texas A&M University.
• Analyzed worker queuing times through Markovian queueing models to identify congestion periods in worker tool crib lines. Estimated over 14,000 work hours being used annually waiting in line among workers across three separate tool crib lines. • Utilized VBA and Lean Six Sigma methodologies to optimize manual processes and automate metrics. • Engineered a database to calculate submarine flange and web joint identification numbers. The department uses this database to create a historical trend of a welder’s success/failure rate across all joints they have welded. • Supported various process improvement projects and identified process improvements within a submarine’s critical path process to increase annual submarine production rate.
• Constructed an analytical research paper for how Valletta, Malta can integrate smart city and automation technologies. • Utilized root-cause analysis to analyze how automation can optimize urban and rural cities congestion. • Developed cash-flow analysis for smart city cases alongside costs for service and implementation. • Studied methodologies and technologies involving smart city integration of over 30 cities.
