Six-time published author. Technologist. Reed Economics '24. I have studied a broad range of topics, from gaming computer energy efficiency to marine ecology and 3D technology. These experiences taught me to effectively communicate my findings to the public (incl. Newsweek, Forbes, Der Spiegel, and BBC).
- Designed and assembled Reed's new behavioral economics course with professor Lindsey Novak - Curated readings, multimedia which introduce concepts through fun case studies and moving stories - Drafted all assignments, exams, lecture slides, in-class activities, and the main course outline - Researched and applied effective course and slide design and teaching methods
- Co-led two research projects on US intra-state climate migration and US state legislator compensation on legislature diversity - Co-created two datasets in Stata - 1000 and 30,000+ observations - using State Council, ACS, World Tax database, and GSA data - Co-authored two literature reviews and co-presented results to North Star staff and Reed professors in July 2023.
- Authored a peer-reviewed journal article about the Center’s novel methods of using 3D technology in marine ecology - Set project deadlines and lead a group of six during the COVID crisis - Presented a solo talk at the Ecological Society of America in Montréal, Canada, August 2022
- Participated in the articulation and assembly of world's largest orca (Ornicus orca) skeleton - 3D-scanned and printed replica teeth that are now in exhibit - Built a tailored desktop PC to accelerate high resolution scanning, processing, and printing
- Staff member of the only undergrad-run nuclear research reactor in the United States - Trained in health physics, reactor physics, reactor operations, and federal regulations
- Improved Linkage Mapper — a wildlife habitat activity analysis script for ArcPy and GIS — under mentorship of Dr. John Gallo
