I am a highly engaged, team-oriented strategic thinker with clinical, research and pharmaceutical industry experience. My success in late stage product execution has come as a direct result of my ability to engage in bidirectional scientific engagement with clinicians and support the development of investigator-initiated trials. Selected therapeutic area interests include anesthesia, surgery, neuroscience, psychiatry, critical care, respiratory, cardiovascular and aesthetic medicine.
o High-performing leader in the successful perioperative and neuroscience RMSD team. Contributed to successful launch of Bridion (sugammadex) as novel, first in class breakthrough for the reversal of neuromuscular blockade. Subject matter expert for insomnia and Belsomra (suvorexant). Established and maintained peer to peer relationship with ~100 scientific leaders and investigators across 10 states. Identified new investigators for IISP and phase IV clinical trials. o Elucidated key insights and provided analysis critical to the foundation of Merck strategy. Identified data gaps and practice trends relevant to Merck areas of interest. Led discussions with pharmacy key decision makers around health economic data vital to expanding and maintaining formulary access.
o Supported research efforts in a clinical lung research lab studying the effects of environmental exposures such as diesel exhaust, cigarette smoke and chlorine on the exacerbation of lung disease. Techniques performed included ELISA, cell differentiation and flow cytometry.
o Worked in the Environmental Lung Disease group exploring the epigenetics of asthma and developed an independent project to investigate early disease markers for pulmonary fibrosis. Co-authored three publications and developed proficiency in RT-PCR, SAGE, MSDK, cycle sequencing, MSP, BioAnalyzer use, and microarray analysis
