About

I’m a Biomedical Science graduate from the University of Hull, currently working as an NHS 111 Health Advisor, where I support patients by assessing symptoms, providing safe guidance, and directing them to the most appropriate care. This role has strengthened my communication skills, clinical awareness, and ability to stay calm and compassionate in high-pressure situations. I am now preparing to apply for the Cardiac Science Scientist Training Programme (STP) for 2026 entry. I’m especially motivated due to it being a patient-facing diagnostic role and having the opportunity to contribute to improving cardiac care. My background in the service industry, including roles at McDonald’s and Wetherspoons, has shaped my strong work ethic, resilience, and ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Alongside this, my experience playing BUCS Netball during University and serving as a 2nd Team Captain in my final year has taught me teamwork, leadership, and maintaining balance under pressure. I’m passionate about developing a career within healthcare science, particularly in cardiology, and I’m keen to connect with professionals in Cardiac Physiology, Echocardiography, and wider Healthcare Science to broaden my understanding and gain insight into the field. Always open to advice, mentoring, shadowing opportunities, and meaningful conversations that support my journey into the STP.
