Bridging Scientific Rigour and Data Analytics My career has been defined by a transition from technical laboratory science to the strategic world of data analytics. Whether I am optimizing biological processes or building predictive models, my focus is on translating complex technical information into clear, actionable business results. The Scientific Foundation I began my career with a BSc in Biotechnology and an MSc in Brewing Science from the University of Nottingham. This training instilled a deep respect for experimental design and statistical thinking. As a Graduate Brewer at Eagle Brewery (DAMM), I managed filtration performance and worked to enhance microbial "Right-First-Time" (RFT) results. I learned that even the most advanced technical systems require precise human management to maintain quality and consistency. The Transition to Analytics While in industry, I managed production data using systems like SAP and LIMS. I identified a critical opportunity: while we had the data to monitor current operations, there was a gap in our ability to use that data proactively to predict outcomes. To solve this, I joined the London School of Economics (LSE) Data Analytics Career Accelerator to specialize in Python, SQL, and Tableau. I have since applied these tools to high-level projects, such as predicting market volatility around earnings events. Leadership & Personal Accountability Beyond technical skills, I am a reliable communicator and a proven leader: Team Leadership: I have experience managing filtration operators and coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure safety and quality standards. Stakeholder Communication: I am skilled in presenting data-driven recommendations and technical findings to both academic and industry audiences. Problem Solving: I have a track record of identifying root causes and developing new SOPs to standardize procedures and reduce error variation. Technical Toolkit Programming & Analysis: Python (Pandas/NumPy), SQL (PostgreSQL), RStudio. Visualization: Tableau, Python, Microsoft Excel. Operations: SAP ERP, LIMS, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Methodologies: Data Cleaning, Data Wrangling, and Statistical Data Analysis. Beyond the Data Outside of professional life, I am an active hockey player, golfer, and guitarist. These interests keep me disciplined and remind me that the best results—in sport, music, or data—come from a combination of technical mastery and consistent effort. I am now looking to apply my unique blend of scientific precision and analytical expertise to a forward-thinking data role
