Gas Controller •Monitor gas pipeline pressures, flow rates, and gas quality levels. •Make decisions which have an operational and economic impact on the pipeline systems. •Coordinates corrective actions in the event of operational malfunctions (line breaks, high/low pressures, high/low flows, odorization issues, freeze-offs, etc.) •Observe natural gas flow on storage, transmission, gathering, and distribution systems. •Gas demand forecasting. •Daily and hourly supply contract management. •Alarm/Alert and system monitoring. •Respond to and resolve alarm issues. •Escalate communications to the proper personnel for emergency and abnormal conditions. •Moderate knowledge of the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA System) programming. •Efficient with Citrix ArcMap, GIS System •Familiar with Mobile Data System, SAP, Advantex Dispatch Application, FileNet, and Send Word Now Emergency Notification System. • Acts as primary emergency contact for industrial and large commercial customers; Provide support to Operational departments such as Engineering, System Operations, District personnel, Dispatch, Customer Service and others • Watch and report pressure problems for distribution systems in Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Minnesota, & Mississippi
