I’m a final-year Software Engineering student at Nottingham Trent University with a passion for networking, software and physical IT infrastructure, and I’m actively building hands-on skills to match. Alongside my degree, I have been building home lab projects covering cabling (Cat6 termination, RJ45 crimping, patch lead creation and testing) and Cisco switch configuration (VLANs, SSH, port security, DHCP snooping and more). I am also learning to diagnose and document faults. My NHS IT placements gave me early exposure to enterprise environments and concepts such as switch stacking, Active Directory, IT service desk operations, and business continuity. I am currently looking for my first role in network engineering, structured cabling, systems software, or IT infrastructure.
I shadowed and assisted in PC setup, including network cable connections and software rollout. Observed service desk calls and Active Directory tutorials.
Observed and assisted in IT projects such as improving and replacing old systems. Created e-learning videos for the NHS's systems.
