My focus is on building a globally aligned, locally effective, Center of Excellence (COE) security organization. Lead a team of security risk and EHS professionals dedicated to safeguarding infrastructure, intellectual property, and the health and welfare of employees that provide IT and Cyber security services to the GE corporation. Serves as a trusted advisor and internal consultant, providing guidance to senior leadership team on all issues of risk. Valued as a top leader with insights involving crisis management, physical security, government compliance, and EHS functions that drive business value.
- Holistic risk management across GE Digital facilities’ operational technology (OT) stack (technical security systems – access control, visitor management, intrusion detection, video monitoring, etc and other building subsystems (HVAC, lighting, elevators, life safety) that may impact employee safety, business continuity, and Intellectual Property protection - Lead the design, development, and deployment of the TSS Digital Thread Initiative to improve the user experience at GE facilities by reducing “security friction” where possible - Map & integrate IT/Cyber IAM/IDM best practices to the physical environment - Leverage GE Digital products & services where possible through design and vendor partnerships - Improve understanding of operational environment (hardware usage/health, financial accountability, movement through space); accountability (assets, employees, and supply chain); and risk management - by integrating facility OT system data flows where possible - Manage design/scope/policy/procedures for TSS across the GE enterprise - Lead and manage TSS projects and risk assessment within Mergers/Acquisition/Divestiture and construction framework - Develop process improvements using project management best practices for data management, data analysis and data visualization from the TSS - Perform Facility Security Officer (FSO) duties – Ensure National Industrial Security Program (NISP) compliance with DoD; respond to periodic audits/surveys from government partners (FBI, NSA, DoD, Commerce, etc); manage GE Digital government clearances; provide security briefings for new, exiting, and traveling employees; provide annual refresher training for cleared GE Digital employees; manage and implement the site strategy for SCIFs and Closed Areas.
Program manager for the GCC and Levant. Lead and manage the engineers and technicians that maintain the technical security portfolio at U.S. missions in the region. Provide portfolio management for individual programs in diverse countries while developing a growing technical security workforce. Integrate business intelligence platforms to ensure high quality assurance and robust data analytics. Projects involve all forms of technical and physical security: Physical Security Information Management (PSIM), CCTV (including IP-CCTV), access control, perimeter security (vehicle barriers, ballistic doors/windows, etc.), TSCM, Reliability Centered Maintenance, Intrusion Detection Systems, power and data infrastructure.
Manage the technical security of U.S. Embassies around the world. Develop and implement technical security protocols for physical security including: Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) alarm systems, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), bomb detection, motion detection, as well as computer network security.
Developing quality management and performance metrics criteria for the Office of Security Technology. Utilize prescriptive and other advanced analytic techniques to discover trends and proactively address issues in order to better protect the people, the information and the facilities of the U.S. Department of State domestically and overseas.
