British Virgin Islands
I am currently a Director of R&H Restructuring's British Virgin Islands' operations and a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner in the British Virgin Islands. My move to the BVI has provided me with the skills to manage engagements in the offshore jurisdictions. My role requires me to be heavily involved in the administrative side of the operations of the a firm including billings, client management and staff counselling and recruitment. I specialise in corporate restructuring, which has given me the opportunity to control the financial functions of businesses of various sizes. This has given me the skills to undertake forecasting and budgeting, financial account preparation, credit risk management, financial resource allocation and funding. A further intergral part of this role is reporting to and communicating with stakeholders, both internal and external, with different expectations and requirements (e.g. banks, lawyers, accountants, credit professionals, shareholders, staff and management). During my career I have also been fortunate enough to work on a number of different projects scoped around the ongoing viability of businesses. This allowed me to use my skills to develop and implement efficiency and business improvement measures to increase overall profitability, business value and process improvement. I have been exposed to businesses of all shapes and sizes, within a wide range of industries including, financial services, mining, transport, hospitality, real estate, civil contracting and agriculture. I have also worked with a major Australian bank in its credit restructuring area. In this role I was responsible for assessing customers' financial circumstances and developing and monitoring strategies with the customer that are mutually beneficial. I am a chartered accountant and have completed the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Australia's post graduate course. I am also a member of INSOL, the American Bankruptcy Institute and RISA.
