Canada
I am a CPA based in Calgary with fifteen years inside Western Canadian industrial finance. I started in audit at Deloitte, spent three years at Petrowest as Manager of Financial Reporting/Controller, and then nearly eight years at PTW Energy as Director of Finance. PTW was where I built the strongest part of my foundation. The company runs one of the largest industrial E&I branch networks in Western Canada. My role there was a finance leadership one, but the part of the work I valued most was time on the road with the branches. Sitting in shop offices and listening to the people who actually perform the work gave me a working understanding of this industry, and its people, that I could not have learned in a head office alone. I now run Solhunde AI Consulting, a small Calgary practice focused on helping industrial contractors apply AI and automation in places where it can genuinely move the needle on time or margin. The work is grounded in finance, operations, and field reality. AI does not replace good people or good tools. It closes the gaps between them. CPA. AMII-trained. Always learning. [email protected]
Founded Solhunde to help small and mid-market companies turn workflow friction and reporting gaps into AI-native software, automation, and analytics. Recent engagements include MudBid, a takeoff and bidding SaaS built end to end on Supabase with a Claude-powered estimating workflow and Stripe billing, deployed in pilot with APW Drywall; and, an AI-assisted proposal-design workflow with CompoundXP that cut initial scoping and design effort by more than 50%. I own the full delivery stack across discovery, system design, hands-on build, deployment, and post-launch support.
