With over 16 years of leadership experience spanning government and IT organizations, I currently serve as the Head of Engineering UYC at LeoVegas Group. My work emphasizes delivering secure, compliance-focused, and user-centric solutions in regulated markets, with a core focus on KYC, AML, Fraud Prevention, and Back Office tooling. Collaborating with cross-functional teams of engineers, architects, and QA specialists, I contribute to building scalable, high-quality systems that prioritize customer care and responsible gaming behavior. My mission is to empower teams, ensuring efficiency and innovation while navigating complex compliance requirements.
The Understanding Your Customer (UYC) domain is focused on strengthening customer care and advancing responsible gaming behaviour across all regulated markets. Our work emphasises compliance-driven initiatives coupled with efficiency, with a strong focus on KYC, Documentation, AML, Fraud Prevention, PEP screening, and Back Office tooling to highlight a few areas. Our Domain collaborates closely with product managers, stakeholders, and local market teams, across multiple countries ensuring we deliver secure and user-centric solutions. Our cross-functional team—comprising backend and frontend engineers, architects, and QA specialists—is committed to building and maintaining high-quality, scalable systems that support both regulatory requirements and exceptional customer experiences.
Our team is at the forefront of delivering a premier iGaming experience, spearheading backend development for six key markets. We are deeply involved in enhancing customer onboarding and driving responsible gaming initiatives, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements including KYC, AML, and PEP. Collaborating closely with product managers, our team leverages data-driven insights to deliver substantial value. Comprising skilled Java/Kotlin backend engineers, automation specialists, and quality assurance professionals, our team excels in developing and maintaining high-quality gaming solutions.
Building and evolving four cross-functional development teams to archive maximum performance while having fun. These teams are located in Sweden, Ukraine & Poland. I coach and empower the teams. We deliver functionality which allows players to set limits on his or her gambling habits. We work closely with our product manager to deliver value to the customer based on data. The teams consist of java back-end engineers, automation engineers and quality assurance personnel.
