My name is Nathan Hermanson, I am a 27 year old Freelance Writer and Marketing Specialist. After five years working at the Majestic Theatre, where I helped give a voice to 800+ volunteers who put in over 20,000 hours of service in a typical year, I have decided to step out of my comfort zone to pursue a career that is both fulfilling and challenging! My years of working with the many volunteers of the Majestic has helped to strengthen my personal creative voice, my ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups of artists, and my self-confidence in telling stories across a variety of mediums, including video, audio, and print. With over 100 productions per season, let's just say my project management skills have been put through the ringer. Before I turned my focus to the local community arts, I spent the majority of my career amplifying the importance and relevance of video game industry however and whenever I could. This remains my one true passion in life. While writing arts and culture pieces for a variety of city newspapers, I influenced and wrote most of the content for an all tech-focused issue of my local alt-weekly newspaper. In college, I managed an independent gaming blog that taught me how to build developer relationships and gave me my first real experience managing a team of writers, all while meeting deadlines for my college newspaper. No matter where I land next, I know that my unique blend of skills and perspectives will strengthen whatever team I found myself on!
