I am a retired US Navy First Class petty officer where I served 20 years in Aviation Ordnance. While in the Navy I received special training and was awarded Navy Enlisted Classification's: AO-6801 Air Launched Weapons Technician, GM-0812 Small Arms Instructor and 9502 Navy Instructor. My primary duties were supervisor, manager and instructor of assigned ordnance shops personnel and equipment. My collateral duties included but were not limited to; conducting training in all phases of basic marksmanship both ashore and afloat, including firearms safety, firearm mechanical training and preventive maintenance on small arms attached to my commands. I was also the Range Master for my command responsible for all instructional and qualification firing, basic range operations, records and reports. I was a Small Arms Instructor for my last 8 years in the Navy. I have also worked for custom rifle builder Jarrett Rifles in Jackson, SC for one year as a Loader/Rifle Tuner and have run a small gunsmithing shop in NC since 2008. I have completed factory armorer courses for the following weapons; Colt M16/AR15, Glock pistols, Sig Sauer Pistols, FN Manufacturing M249 machine gun and TACOM M2A1 .50 CAL machine gun. I am currently employed as an armorer/gunsmith for AC FIRST in Kabul, Afghanistan and have completed the Small Arms Repair Technician PQS on the following weapons; M16A2/M4 5.56 RIFLES, M2 50.CAL MG, M48 .50 CALMG, MK19 40MM MG, M203 40MM, M240 MG, M249 MG, M9 PISTOL, M14 7.62 RIFLE. Now my primary mission as a contractor for AC FIRST is the inspection, gaging and maintenance of the military weapons used in theatre, this includes the M14, M-4 , M11, M-9 and crew served weapons.
