About

I am the Communications Officer Respect. I am confident at using social media analytics to evidence and track performance. Using Canva, I create posters, flyers, leaflets, roller banners and other materials to promote services. I enjoy writing blogs especially around key awareness days and organisational updates. Working in the domestic abuse sector has taught me a lot about relationships, communications and working with those who harm. I am passionate about raising awareness around this subject and highlighting how tackling the root cause of domestic abuse; those who harm is the way to stopping domestic abuse and supporting victims/survivors. I have an invested interested in working with and supporting young people, particularly young people who harm. I have completed my Introduction to CAPVA course and continue to work with the Respect Young People's Service to develop my knowledge and understanding and so I can support in raising awareness of this underreported and hidden harm. I am a creative thinker and will also strive to complete tasks to the best of my ability. I am a team player and will always offer my support where I can. I believe whole heartedly in collaboration and working with others. We can achieve so much more when we do it together. I write poetry in my own time and have entered various competitions. I believe that creativity is a powerful tool for self-expression and to support our mental health. Wellbeing in the workplace and outside of work is something I am very passionate about, practicing yoga, exploring nature and reading a range of fiction and non-fiction support my mental health and are daily practices for me. I am a people person who thrives working with and supporting others. Since graduating with Masters in English Literature I have worked in various settings and have been able to use my analytical, creative and written skills to develop within my roles. I believe in celebrating potential and trying new things to get great results. Being creative at work, is so important to me and I hope to continue this in the future.
