Scientific interests: materials biodegradation; diversity, biofilms, sensitivity to organic compounds of bacteria active in biodegradation of materials; cyto- and genotoxicity of compounds by phytotests; the search for an eco-friendly approach to prevent bacterial biofilms formation. Possession of methods and techniques: the isolation of pure bacterial cultures, the study of their cultural and morphological, physiological and biochemical properties, the determination of the intensity of biofilm formation in bacteria by binding of crystal violet, methods for determining the sensitivity of bacteria to antimicrobial compounds (disc diffusion method, serial dilutions method in liquid medium), methods of phytotesting - determination of cytotoxicity of compounds by mitotic index and duration of phases of mitosis, determination of genotoxicity of compounds for Allium test.
