As marketing officer, I'm responsible for creating and delivering engaging, integrated marketing campaigns to build ARC-EMS' brand. The purpose of ARC-EMS, developed by the inspiring team at the Great North Air Ambulance Service, is to revolutionise how frontline teams record patient data.
I am the guardian of brand and culture at Harvey & Hugo, ensuring all internal and external activities and processes are in line with our values and mission. My role is to nurture lovable and memorable people who want to thrive at Harvey & Hugo. Holding 1-2-1s, generating professional development opportunities and recruitment for the agency are just some of my team manager duties. My role also involves strategic planning, managing, reporting on Harvey & Hugo’s PR and marketing activities, alongside ensuring a high-quality service is delivered and strong relationships are fostered with our clients. I’m also part of the company’s leadership team, participating on decisions regarding strategic direction, innovation and recruitment.
As an account manager, I am responsible for regular accounts for a wide variety of clients. My position involves me being flexible, actively working on a range of live campaigns and working to tight deadlines efficiently and effectively to a high standard. In order to build strong relationships with my clients and keep up-to-date with any developments within their firms, I make sure I host regular meetings. On a daily basis, I plan and manage social media activity, interview clients, write and manage the distribution of press releases, generate media coverage for my clients' stories as well as working closely with journalists to build strong industry relationships. I regularly write blogs, plan events and design and create newsletters for H&H and clients and I relish attending networking events across the North East.
This one week placement with Made In Tyne and Wear was presented to me by Teesside University as an award for winning video journalist of the year award. The role of a video journalist saw me shadow other experienced video journalists throughout the week. My responsibilities included researching for local North East stories, finding and contacting potential interviewees, using cameras, shooting and editing news packages using Adobe Premier Pro.
NE Vibe is a cultural website bringing you all the best from the North East. We'll be providing you with a fix of North East culture and experiences. This is my dissertation project for my university degree in Multimedia Journalism and it involves me working as part of a team to build a website, generate and audience, create multimedia content and drive an audience the the site.
