I’m a mother of two, a ceramic artist, and a former hospitality and tech account executive who’s come full circle back to creativity. For 15 years, I built a career in hospitality management and tech sales, working my way up as an account executive. On paper, it was success. But inside, I felt disconnected from creativity, from purpose, from the part of me I left behind in my early 20s when I walked away from art to chase financial stability in Seattle’s corporate world. Everything shifted when I was laid off at nine months pregnant from PlanOmatic the year before the global pandemic. That moment cracked something open. It forced me to reevaluate what I truly wanted and gave me the courage to rebuild life on my own terms. Through the opportunity of network marketing, I was able to support my family, stay present through the early years of motherhood, and rediscover my voice. And in the quiet, messy, beautiful chaos of raising two babies back to back, I found my way back to art in the form of ceramics. Today, I’m putting my family first and growing a life and business rooted in creativity, intention, and care. Ceramics is more than a medium it’s a return to self, a way of making beauty out of the everyday, and a reminder that it’s never too late to come home to who you are.
Roca Ceramics is my independent pottery studio dedicated to creating functional, artful pieces that bring beauty and intention into everyday life. Inspired by my roots and my passion for handcrafted design, I founded Roca Ceramics to reconnect people to the quiet rituals of home through timeless stoneware. Key responsibilities: > Design, handcraft, and glaze small-batch collections of functional pottery for home and table. > Oversee all aspects of studio operations, from clay sourcing and kiln management to inventory and quality control. > Develop and execute creative product launches, seasonal collections, and limited-edition collaborations. > Build and maintain the Roca Ceramics brand through storytelling, photography, and social media marketing. > Manage e-commerce operations, including website design, order fulfillment, and customer service. > Cultivate meaningful relationships with collectors, local shops, and community partners. > Organize and host workshops and community events to share the craft of ceramics. Roca Ceramics is more than a ceramics studio, it’s my way of honoring heritage, celebrating craft, and inviting others to find art in the everyday.
