I was successfully accepted for a position as an unqualified support worker to begin my career within aged care at Bethanie, in Perth WA.
I was successfully approved by the Australian department of home affairs and I am on a working holiday visa (subclass 417). I am have worked at various hospitality venues whilst travelling Australia.
In October 2022, I successfully applied for the older persons IDVA role - This is a newly funded, specialised role adapted by myself, for those at standard, medium or high risk of domestic abuse, over the age of 55.
I started at The Dash Charity supporting victim/survivors at a medium risk of domestic abuse as part of the Advocacy and Outreach Services team.
After completing a 13 week training course I gained a level 3 diploma in custodial care, becoming a fully qualified prison officer. I successfully passed my years probation at HMP Chelmsford in May 2018.
I was employed on a zero our contract as an appropriate adult. I ensured the welfare and fair treatment of under 18 years olds during their questioning in police custody. I made sure that all of the requirements of PACE are fulfilled. I subsequently completed all of the necessary paperwork required for both the police and The Appropriate Adult Service.
