Good content tells a story. Good stories attract a community. I'm a content creator that's obsessed with people, culture and the art of storytelling. Growing up in Syrian household in Canada while attending a French school I grew a curiosity for the nuances of language and culture. Through living in different parts of the world, I’ve gained exposure to many ways of life and mastered four languages (English, French, Arabic and Mandarin). I've always been interested in getting to know people and how to effectively communicate. I have 5 years of social media experience. Creating content for myself as a hobby, I amassed over 170k followers online. From there I was offered opportunities to work teaching at the Nas Academy and managing social platforms at the University of British Columbia's Michael Smith Laboratories. Most recently I co-founded and launched an NFT project called the Secret Llama Agency that now lives on the Solana Blockchain. As for what my future holds: I look forward to growing my career in communication through helping others tell their story and enrich their community with engaging content online!

Hired by UBC to manage Dr. Anna Blakney’s TikTok to promote vaccine confidence. Dr. Anna Blakney is an mRNA/saRna researcher and runs a lab at the Michael Smiths laboratories. My job required keeping up with the developments of COVID-19, trends on social media and finding creative and most importantly, SIMPLE ways to communicate the science of vaccines and how they work. As a researcher Dr. Blakney is busy so my job had to be efficient. I prepared topics and scripts, to shoot when we met. Then edited the videos, and uploaded them on various platforms. Within 5 months I helped Dr. Blakney grow her Tik Tok Account by 30,000 to 272,000. Launched her Instagram and grew it to 1,400 followers. Launched her Youtube channel and grew it to 700 subscribers with just 4 videos. Alongside content creation, I did outreach to other influencers from the science community to help Dr. Blakney's research get exposure, for exmaple: working with ScienceUPFirst for Instagram and TikTok Collaborations. Connecting with the popular Youtubers ASAP Science, to have Dr. Blakney as a guest on their podcast.
