* Hands-on experience on Linux administration tasks like installation of Servers(Linux) and a file system management/security patching * Creating PV’s and VG and LV’s from the disks provided by Storage team * Adding disks provided by storage team to Volume Group and extending LV’s * Knowledge of RAID * Sharing File system over NFS * Troubleshooting performance Issues of high load/CPU/Memory/Disk IO * Knowledge of Amazon Web Services including knowledge of > Creating/Managing EC2 Instance using EBS(Elastic Block Store) and Ephemeral Disks, Understanding of On Demand/Spot and Reserved Instances > S3 Storage: Creating Buckets, adding objects and managing permissions to the bucket and its objects, versioning and life cycle policies Also archiving to Glacier from S3, Hosting static website from S3,Snapshots of EC2 Instances to S3 to make AMI available across Regions, Accessing S3 from RHEL/Cent OS servers > Understanding of Route53 and routing policies, Content Delivery Network(Cloud Front) > Knowledge of IAM(Identity Access Management),User Management, Roles, Groups and policies using policy generator > Knowledge Virtual Private Cloud including IPv4 subnetting and CIDR notations, Creating Internet Gateways, Associating Elastic IP’s to EC2 instances and adding routes to the route table > Knowledge of Auto scaling and Cloud Watch (creating Launch Config, and adding launch config to the auto scaling groups, auto scaling policies) > Understanding of SQS and SNS > Understanding of ELB(Elastic Load Balancer) and how to associate ELB with auto scaling group or EC2 instance’ > Understanding of Elastic Bean Stalk and Cloud Formation * Adding disks, NIC cards, Increasing CPU/Memory of VMs, taking snapshots Servers, VMotion for maintenance of ESX host in VMWare * Hands on experience on Switching VERITAS Cluster Service Group in failover scenario or if one of the resource group goes down, troubleshooting issues with same in co-ordination with VCS SME
