About

I lead a portfolio career across finance, operations, technology, and governance, with expertise spanning Fortune 500 institutions, high-growth ventures, and community impact. My career is intentionally non‑linear and organized across four streams: corporate executive leadership, board governance, entrepreneurship, and nonprofit stewardship. Each reinforces the others and shapes how I build systems, teams, and organizations that scale. Across global banks and Fortune 500 companies, I have led 100+ cross-functional teams, delivered 12+ enterprise finance transformations, and driven regulatory reform for G-SIBs, including MUFG and Citigroup, as well as national banks such as U.S. Bank and Ally Financial. During the 2007–09 recession, I led 27 M&A resolutions totaling $32.3B at the FDIC, contributing to the stabilization of the U.S. financial system. My entrepreneurial ventures span continents and industries. I have built four entities across fintech, logistics, finance, professional services and community impact, each structured to solve problems with disciplined systems and sustainable models. I currently lead BUKOM, a professional services firm that bridges the gap between finance, systems, and capital. My corporate finance leadership centers on building high-performance CFO organizations, integrating financial systems with operational excellence, and systems implementation. I have guided teams through major regulatory frameworks: Dodd-Frank, CCAR, EPS, CECL, and COSO, and architected enterprise ERP ecosystems spanning CFO core workstreams, procurement, and risk, with platform expertise in Oracle, SAP, IBM, Intuit, Microsoft, Workday, Workiva, and Diligent. Governance is a core pillar of my portfolio. I bring experience across the board, audit, finance, and risk committees, informed by both corporate rigor and entrepreneurial execution. I am committed to contributing to public company boards, in finance and audit oversight, to advancing global financial literacy and healthcare access. My community work is grounded in purpose. Since founding Mama Nile in 2005 to support women and children in Uganda, I have remained dedicated to expanding access to financial education and essential healthcare. This mission continues through mentorship, trustee roles, and diaspora-focused initiatives that blend cultural heritage with modern systems and opportunity. Across every role, my through line is the same: build systems that work, empower people to succeed, and drive measurable impact across every organization I touch.
