About

I like a challenge. Most people like cut and dry work with a basic objective. I like work that has not yet been clearly defined. I work on the idea before it becomes a project. Research, concepts and the big, big picture, then the details. I am excited everyday about a new concept. I like to think of myself as a Renaissance woman. My back ground is Italian Renaissance. I was trained at a Jesuit College, Spring Hill College for Fine Art. Drawing, Painting, Ballet, and Art History. I finished college at The Kansas City Art Institute in Design. The Design Department included: illustration, furniture, exhibit, photography, product design, communications /graphic design and master class. I was the second woman to be admitted to Master Class, under the direction of Swiss Designer Victor Papnek, author of The Green Imperative. Hallmark Cards trained me to be a critical thinker. The Six Thinking Hats, Malcomb Gadwell and Ideas to Go gave me the tools I needed to organize my creative mind. My Father was my guide and my mentor. He had 35 women fitness centers from LA to Miami and a body to withstand the rigors of life. My Mother gave me style, grace and the love of music, literature and design. I think it and I can create it, with help of other talented people. I cared for my husband with a brain tumor for 15 years. My heart cannot express my sadness but it has made me stronger. I bought Holiday House just before his death so I could stay and work at home and care for him. I do about 25 to 30 events a year in the event business. I am also creating products and marketing for Impact Organics and My Plant Food. I am available for freelance work. At Hallmark Cards in Kansas City, I was the maverick that they brought in when they needed a fresh perspective or a person to fly above the red tape and get things done. I have traveled the world and find Roanoke Island filled with loving and creative people. I like to work with people with big hearts and little egos. Call for projects: 252.305.2194
