Nanak is a dedicated WASH professional (working in Development Sector for last 36 years and with UNICEF India since 2010) having wide and all round experience with all aspects of WASH sector gained while working with Government, NGOs and other UN organizations. Prior to UNICEF he worked with Gujarat Water Supply and Sewerage Board (GWSSB: A govt. of Gujarat undertaking for 26 years) including last stint on deputation with WASMO as Executive Engineer and Member Secretary, DWSC, Patan, Gujarat and had contributed in successful demonstration of community managed WASH Initiatives (paradigm shift in WASH sector in Gujarat and getting UN award for WASMO in Public Service in 2009). His dedication is towards getting relief to the fluorosis affected population across globe through adoption of Integrated Fluorosis Mitigation (IFM) approach to fight the menace holistically and at present is supporting GoR for scaling up of IFM approach (in alignment of JJM & Nirogi Rajasthan), marching towards Fluorosis Free State. A paper written on IFM scale up approach, was published in Yojana, Jan 2020, a GoI development magazine. As a scholar, he also had been invited as Member of the Advisory Editorial Board of the book series “Sustainable Water Developments” as a publication of CRC Press and got appreciation for excellent recognition of self and UNICEF India.
