Synapse is a nonprofit organization that provides a powerful social support network for individuals with brain injury through the facilitation of peer support groups and a one-on-one volunteer buddy program.
Developmental disorders of the human brain can cause epilepsy, intellectual disability and/or autism. I will assist in the study the genetics and molecular biology of the developing cerebral cortex, the brain's largest structure, to advance the understanding, diagnosis and management of human neurological disease. I will also be performing clinical operations, working with human brain tissue, and analyzing neuroimaging data through complex computational analysis/programming. Senior thesis.
