Coffee Me Up" project, a series of upcycled cosmetic products Developed face products using the extract of silver skin (a coffee's by-product) as active ingredient due to its great antioxidant activity Detailed approach: - Product Developpment - Formulation of four cosmetic products - Stability test - DPPH test & Folin-Ciocalteau Test in order to prove the antioxidant activity and the phenolic content of silver skin extract. - Marketing Plan & Launching - Presentation of our Project in front of more than 350 professionals Tones of coffee beans are being processed daily and during this process tones of coffee's by-products (silver skin) are produced too. As a comsequence, we chose to expolit this huge waste and transform it into something beneficial for the skin.
▪ Formulated a variety of personal care products (skin and hair care products, lipsticks, sunscreens, skin- disorder products) from concept to finished product according to customer's request. Set product specifications & described manufacturing procedures. ▪ Followed and leveraged trends of the cosmetics' retail market & innovations regarding raw materials and active ingredients. ▪ Reviewed product's claims according to European Legislation & Developed guidelines for product communication ▪ Participated in industrial productions of different types of cosmetics and treated problems occuring during the production procedure
