Leading the implementation of a €4 million flagship skills development project funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (EKN), aimed at improving the employability of 25,000 youth aged 18–35 across Agro-processing, ICT, and Ready-Made Garments (RMG) sectors. Key Responsibilities: Overseeing strategic planning, implementation, and financial structuring of the BYETS project in alignment with donor priorities and national workforce development policies. Led a cross-functional team of 13+ professionals and ensured seamless coordination across 3 geographic regions. Developed and implemented co-financing frameworks for private sector contributions to ensure project sustainability. Built and nurtured partnerships with over 80 private sector companies and 17 private training providers to co-create market-driven workforce development solutions. Contributed to Swisscontact Bangladesh’s strategic and operational direction as a core member of the Senior Management Team (SMT). Key Achievements: Launched Bangladesh’s first industry-led training program for the jute sector, now integrated into the operations in collaboration with Jute Mill Association which has a membership of 100+ factories. Successfully organized an International Agro Processing Expo in collaboration with private sector stakeholders. The event hosted over 6,000 participants, 70+ local businesses, and 12 international firms, positioning Bangladeshi SMEs for integration into global value chains. Secured private investments valued at over €2.5 million as of May 2025 through strategic negotiations. Strengthened the capacity of 27 training service providers by supporting their business planning and operational expansion—leading to scalable and sustainable delivery of training services. Facilitated evidence-based policy advocacy and input to national skill development frameworks by contributing to public-private dialogues and roundtables focused on industry needs and compliance.
I managed a three-year, two-million-dollar training project, that focused on promoting inclusion and enhancing the employability of the youth through targeted initiatives with the government. I supervised a team of six personnel and provided feedback, delivering regular coaching, mentoring, and facilitating to ensure the ongoing learning and development of reporting staff. Notable achievements; -Successful completion of the project led to a new phase, securing an additional $2.5 million in funding. Secured co-financing partnerships with local and national government, with a public investment valued at two million dollars, and established two vocational training centers to train 1,200 youth annually. Successful advocacy prompted the government to adopt a new trade, creating job opportunities for women in the formal sector. -Conceptualized and oversaw the development of the first Android-based Bangla soft skills app in Bangladesh.
I was responsible for the flagship project on urban poverty. Under the project, I led a team with 40 program staff working in 7 pavement dweller centers which provided services to more than 14,000 urban poor yearly. I developed knowledge products and oversaw the organization's overall communication.
I was awarded the Charles Wallace Fellowship Award and worked with the Center for Studies on African Economies at the University of Oxford during my tenure as a Fellow. I was involved in research and participated in workshops and seminars organized by the center. The purpose of the fellowship was to create an opportunity for development workers and researchers from developing countries to share their working knowledge on different social issues.
I was responsible for leading all the projects funded through external grants in Educo Bangladesh. The million-dollar portfolio encompassed projects focused on working children (child labour) and WaSH issue at the primary schools and at the community level in peri-urban areas. It was my job to align and build partnerships with key stakeholders to ensure the visibility of the organization and the projects. I ensured the implementation of existing gender policy throughout the organization.
I was responsible for leading the DW program. I worked with CARE senior management team to develop country-level operation plan, advocacy, and communication strategy. I managed the partnership with government, the private sector, NGOs, and donors and was also responsible for resource mobilization through proposal development for my program. I developed various communication materials and knowledge products, worked with print and electronic media houses to ensure maximum visibility of the program. I worked in close collaboration with CARE global teams in USA, UK, France, and Australia to ensure country program cohesion with the CARE global strategic plan. I directly managed a seven-member team and supervised field staff as well.
